You must be 18
Shararat is an adult product and is rated for adults on both stores. You confirm you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. We ask for your date of birth before an account is created. If we find an account belongs to someone under 18 we close it and delete its contents.
What Shararat is
Shararat is an entertainment app. You hold conversations with fictional characters generated by artificial intelligence.
Characters are software. They are not real people, they are not supervised by a person, and no message you receive comes from a human being. Anything a character says about itself — its life, its feelings, its whereabouts — is fiction.
Images a character shares are generated. Voices are synthesised from text. None of it depicts a real person, and none of it is a photograph or recording of anyone.
What Shararat is not
- It is not therapy, counselling or medical care, and it is not a crisis service.
- It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice.
- It is not a dating service, an introduction service, or a route to meeting anybody.
If you are in distress or danger, contact a qualified professional or an emergency service. Do not rely on this app.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive your code can reach your account. One account per person. Do not share it, sell it, or let someone else use it.
What you may not do
- Use the app if you are under 18, or help anybody under 18 to use it.
- Attempt to make a character produce sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor in a sexual context. We report this where the law requires and terminate the account immediately and permanently.
- Attempt to generate content that is illegal in India, or that promotes terrorism, trafficking, or serious harm to a real person.
- Use the app to harass, impersonate or threaten a real person.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, resell or automate access to the service, or attempt to extract the models behind it.
- Circumvent payment, quotas, age verification or safety systems.
- Upload identity documents, financial details, or another person's personal information into a conversation.
We may remove content, restrict features, or close an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is serious we do so without notice.
Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement. In summary: we do not sell it, we do not share it for anyone else's advertising, the app contains no advertising or tracking SDK, and your conversations are never used to advertise to you or to train models.
Content
Yours. You keep whatever rights you have in what you write. You give us permission to store and process it in order to run the service — generate replies, maintain memory, moderate safety, and support you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep a record by law.
The characters'. Characters, their art, their names, their writing and the software behind them belong to us. Your subscription is permission to use the app, not ownership of anything in it.
Generated. Replies are produced by a model and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. They can be wrong, inconsistent, or not to your taste. We do not warrant that generated content is accurate or suitable for any purpose.
Safety
We moderate what is sent and what is generated. Some requests will be refused. Some conversations will be interrupted with a safety message. These systems are imperfect in both directions — they will sometimes refuse something harmless, and they will sometimes miss something they should have caught. Report anything that seems wrong.
Plans and payment
Prices are shown in the app in Indian Rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes, before you pay. The price on the button is the price charged.
One-time entry offers. Some plans are one-time payments that also set up a monthly subscription. Where that is the case, the app tells you before you pay: what you are charged now, what the recurring amount will be, and the date of the first recurring charge.
A ₹1 trial is an authorisation charge. It registers a mandate for the monthly plan. It does not buy a month, and the monthly amount is charged after the trial window unless you cancel first.
Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the interval and price shown, and continues until cancelled. Where payment is by UPI Autopay, you are given the required advance notice before the first debit and each subsequent debit.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time — in the app under Subscription, in your UPI app for a mandate, or in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed through a store. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period runs out.
Failed payments. If a renewal fails we allow a short grace period and try again before access ends.
Changes to price. We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we tell you before a changed price is charged.
Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Where you paid through the App Store or Google Play, that store handles refunds under its own rules and we cannot issue one on its behalf.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using Shararat and delete your account at any time, from Profile in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or withdraw the service entirely — if we withdraw it, we will refund the unused part of a paid period.
Availability
We do our best to keep the service running and do not promise it will be uninterrupted or fault-free. Features change. Characters may be added, altered or retired.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost data, or for anything arising from your reliance on generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
The stores
If you installed Shararat from the App Store or Google Play, this agreement is between you and Ackrolix Innovations Private Limited, not with Apple or Google. Neither store operates the service, and neither is responsible for it or for supporting it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a Government of India or United States embargo, and are not on any restricted-party list.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gurgaon, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, write to us first — most things are settled faster that way.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. Where an amendment materially changes what you agreed to, we will ask you to accept it again in the app rather than relying on this page having changed.
