Delete your account
You can delete your Shararat account, and the data held against it, at any time — from the app, or by writing to us if you no longer have it.
In the app
- Open Shararat and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Profile settings.
- Tap Delete my account, then Delete to confirm.
- Write down the reference you are shown. It is the only way to ask about your request later — it cannot be looked up from your phone number, by design.
Without the app
Write to support@shararat.app with the mobile number your account uses, and ask for the account to be deleted. We will ask you to confirm that the number is yours before we delete anything, and reply once it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account, your name, age and preferences.
- Your conversations, and everything the characters remember about you.
- Usage and analytics records tied to your account.
- Your device's push token and notification history.
What is kept
- Payment and billing records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Safety records, for 3 years, stripped of anything that identifies you — they are the evidence that a safety rule was applied.
- What Meta and Google received for advertising is held under their own policies. Resetting your advertising ID in your phone's settings breaks its link to you.
